Mount Snow should cut workers some slack

To the Editor,

I think the employment policy at Mount Snow, regarding the Hermitage is draconian at the least. Have you heard about this new thing called Multiple Listing Service (MLS)? It’s when two or more real estate firms, competitors, are involved in a home sale-yes competitors, imagine that. However, do you really consider the Hermitage competitors? How can they be your competition? They don’t offer day ticket sales, only “season” passes that cost approximately 20 times the price of yours.

Here’s a valley town with limited employment options, who have suffered enormously in the past few years. Their residents have to work two and three jobs just to make ends meet (no exaggeration here).

I am a conservative thinking, pro-business, 30-year union plumbing contractor from NYC and understand competition quite well. But really, your policy seems to be one that a parent would impose on a 13-year-old child they are trying to control.

Be human and “cut ‘em some slack.”
