AbilityPLUS and Mount Snow will begin welcoming Kids of Courage to Mount Snow Sunday morning, March 19, at the Grand Summit Hotel.
Kids of Courage participants, their aides, and medical staff will arrive by bus, disembark, and be greeted by AbilityPLUS staff and volunteers in the ballroom of the Grand Summit to be fitted for special equipment and paired with specially trained adaptive instructors from AbilityPLUS.
AbilityPLUS is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that provides athletic and recreational opportunities for individuals with all manner of physical and/or cognitive disabilities.
AbilityPLUS, Kids of Courage, and Mount Snow representatives are available for interviews prior to the event as well as on the day of the event.
At 7:45 am, AbilityPLUS adaptive instructors check in and begin equipment setup in the ballroom; at 9:15 am, there will be a volunteer meeting; 10 am, Kids of Courage buses begin arriving at the Grand Summit Hotel; from 10:15 am to 4 pm, AbilityPLUS adaptive instructors ski with Kids Of Courage on the slopes of Mount Snow.
