WESTFIELD, MA- Frances C. McGinnis, 68, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012 in Mercy Medical Center. She was born in St. Johnsbury, VT, on February 8, 1944 to Bernard E. and Lucille A. (William) McGinnis.

Mrs. McGinnis was employed as a clerk for the Westfield Police Department for 25 years. She was a graduate of Suffield High School and a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.

Mrs. McGinnis was the widow of Edmund Purdy who died in 2008. She leaves a son, David King, of Elizabethtown, KY; a daughter, Donna Pinillos and her husband Cesar, of St. Petersburg, FL; brothers, Gordon McGinnis and his wife Jane, of Kentucky, and Dennis and Donald McGinnis, of Kentucky; five grandchildren, Allison and Tayor King, Toni Medsker, and Angela and Michael Bennett; and two great-grandchildren, Gaige and Hailey Bennett.

The funeral was Monday, December 31, at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. in Westfield. Burial will be in the spring in Grove Cemetery in East St. Johnsbury, VT. Donations may be made to National Breast Cancer Foundation, 2600 Network Boulevard, Suite 300, Frisco, TX 75034.
