Throughout his career he worked in physical plant management as a project engineer and draftsman at Haverford College, the Franklin Institute, and Lankenau Hospital, all in Pennsylvania.
He was a member of many professional organizations. He enjoyed big band jazz music. He was an avid reader, especially history books. A lover of all animals, he liked cats and had a particular fondness for greyhound dogs. He enjoyed the company of his children. Mr. Bogart had a sharp mind and a keen sense of humor, which he maintained to the end.
He leaves his wife Catherine (Sanginiti) Bogart, whom he married July 14, 1951, in Philadelphia; sons, Paul Bogart, of Marlboro, Christopher Bogart, of Norwalk, CT, and David Bogart, of Nashville, TN; daughters, Karen Viggiano, of Havertown, PA; Ann Bogart, of Marlboro; and Patricia Bogart-Bramley, of Downingtown, PA; brother, John Bogart, of Palm Springs, CA; sister, Barbara Bozzi, of Philadelphia; and grandchildren Stefan, Sean, Maria, Sarah, Philip, Anna Rose, Tess, and Samuel. He was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Bogart.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church on October 21.
