All year long, mischievous gods play tricks on earnest artists. Let this Devilry be your Fortune! Clearance, tests, and those pesky seconds are discounted 25%-75%.

Brattleboro potter Teta Hilsdon has invited six local artists to join her in this event at her home. "It's a sweet team, three potters, a painter, an alpaca artist, a glass blower, and a creator of body care products. Each with beautiful, high quality, handmade work." All the artists will offer discounted pieces alongside new works.

  • Stephen Procter, Hilsdon's husband, makes monumental clay vessels for home and landscape, and he will have pieces in all size and price ranges.
  • Vernon painter Margaret Shipman will show her latest work as well as her popular notecards and Tarot decks.
  • Potter Jenifer Morier of Lightenupstudio in Guilford specializes in functional porcelain, raku and obvara (Baltic raku) ware. Her offerings will range from mugs and bowls to vases and even lamps with customized shades.
  • Stacy Salpietro-Babb, of Iris X Readings, Lotions & Potions in Brattleboro will have her own fabulous, all natural products for skin care.
  • Laura Carp Solomon, owner of Windham Hill Alpaca Farm & Artisanry in Brookline, raises alpaca, spins yarn, and knits alpaca products of the highest quality.
  • Josh Bernbaum of JMB Glass in West Brattleboro makes exquisite decorative and functional blown glass pieces.

Hilsdon’s work is decidedly functional. She focuses on dinnerware, and particularly mugs. “I aim to please both the eye and hand, to make beautiful, quality pots for daily life.” She has been pursuing new directions in the past year. Many of her tests will be available at striking discounts at the event.
