The group will mostly be outside with poor weather shelter & facilities in the studio.
Description:
A WEEK LONG EXPERIENCE FOR GIRLS GOING INTO GRADES 3-6 ...when there was no tv for entertainment & sewing was done by hand, butter & ice cream came from churning & cloth came off a handloom. Girls going into grades 3-6 may do some gardening, feeding farm animals, sewing quilt squares, hand weaving, canning jam, cooking on an outdoor fire circle, churning butter, making ice cream, singing, learning basic contra & square dance, identifying native plants.......& more. Friday brings a picnic lunch, show & tell and contra dance for all with live music.
*Dates: July 8-12, 2013 Mon-Thurs 9AM-3PM & Friday Noon-3
*Tuition: $5 per program hour, $50 materials fee & $20 live music fee = Total $200
*Group of 8 - 16 girls
*At Richview Avenue, North Adams
