Adult dental care day this Saturday

BRATTLEBORO- United Way of Windham County’s eighth annual adult dental care day takes place Saturday, May 5. Registration starts at 7:30 am at the Elks Lodge #1499, 75 Putney Road. Windham County residents in need of fillings and extractions will receive care from local participating dental offices, who donate their time and expertise. This event is free, with a suggested donation of $20 per person. Transportation is provided from the Elks club to participating dental offices, if needed.
United Way understands that there are many reasons why people may not access dental care, including lack of insurance, cost, and/or anxiety or fear. Participants in dental care day are treated with patience and respect by everyone involved, both medical and non-medical volunteers.  
Windham County Smiles, United Way’s oral health program, includes adult dental care day and a denture fund that subsidizes the cost of dentures for members of the community, in partnership with local dentists. For more information  call (802) 257-4011 or visit www.unitedwaywindham.org.
